Single Origin Coffees
- Rwanda Dukunda Kawa Musasa
Roast Level: City+ :: Relationship Coffee
Musasa, a town in northern Rwanda, is the home of our latest Rwanda offering. The Dukunde Kawa mill, which is at 2000 meters above sea level, pulls coffees from 2000 co-op members, each of whom only farm less than 200 trees. The coffee has won second place in the 2010 Cup of Excellence™ competition! A melon aroma greets you on first grind of this cup. At first sip, you'll be struck by the pumpkin pie spices in the cup. As it cools, look for that melon to come back.

Roast Level: City+ :: Relationship Coffee
Direct from the Santo Antonio Estates, a 20-member co-op consisting of over 2150 hectares of coffee trees over 1150 meters above sea level, comes this Yellow Bourbon. The bean undergoes the Pulped Natural process which allows for flavors unusual to Brazilian coffees to shine. Look for a wonderful peach aroma and flavor throughout the cup. As your coffee cools, the flavor becomes very tea-like: drier, light body with little acidity.

Wehile we are unable to get a lot of background information about this coffee due to the Ethiopia Coffee Exchange set up by the Ethiopian government, we do know that we have found a winner. The grounds, especially when wet, have a sweet floral aroma. Floral and minty tones continue into the aromatics of the cup. Lemon, floral, and berry tones abound in the flavor, especially as it cools. A long, tea-like aftertaste is also present.

Luz Maria Trujillo owns and runs the Santa Elena Estate deep in the heart of Costa Rica. There, she creates a coffee capable of smoothing out even the roughest day. Smooth, buttery tones dominate the cup with a short but buttery aftertaste.

Roast Level: City+ :: Cup of Excellence™ Award Winning Farms
Three farms in the San Vincente area outside the town of Peña Blanca joined forces to bring us a new level of quality coffee. All three farms have won Cup of Excellence™ Awards for their astounding coffee, and this cup just adds to the accolades! A blackberry syrup aroma will hit you upon first grind then continue through the aroma and first sip of the cup. As it cools, a tart raspberry flavor emerges. Long lasting berry tones rest gently on your tongue.

Roast Level: City+ :: Relationship Coffee
The residents of the Trapichitos region of the Ixil Triangle of Guatemala present this offering. A rich cocoa and cherry tone abound in the cup. As the cup cools, a cardamom flavor emerges. The aftertaste will vary between smoky and spicy depending on the temperature of the coffee.

Roast Level: Italian :: Malabar Super Grade
The monsooning process involves taking the coffee beans and laying them out in open-sided warehouses through the Monsoon Season. The coffee beans are raked daily to ensure proper moisture interaction. The resulting coffee, a pale yellow color, is then bagged and delivered. The Josuma Coffee Company provides us the Super Grade, which means only the best coffee cherries are picked, the biggest beans are sorted, and the beans that took the monsooning process the best are bagged for us. Look for a deep, smoky, rich flavor throughout the cup with a subtle cocoa aftertaste.

Roast Level: Full CIty+ :: Swiss Water Process™
Guaranteed to be 99.99% caffeine-free. A Fair Trade, Organic, and Rainforest Alliance Certified coffee. Look for a sweet aroma, light mouthfeel, and a touch of green apple acidity. The aftertaste is smooth yet chocolaty.

Guaranteed to be 99.99% caffeine-free. This is a smooth yet rich cup. Look for a baker's chocolate tone that only intensifies as it cools. A lingering shortbread-like flavor will coat your tongue.

- “Red Stallion” Espresso Blend
Roast Level: Full City
Blended from the Colombia Huila “Monserrate,” Costa Rica Tarrazù Santa Elena Estate, and India Monsooned Malabar. A rich and full-bodied yet light espresso with a subtle floral/caramel tone with a subtle orange zest tingle in the back of your throat. Blended for milk-based drinks primarily, the Red Stallion holds its own as a straight shot.

Named after the altitude at which it's roasted, the Espresso 7444 is our experimental espresso blend. From deep chocolate to exceptionally bright, this 'spro can--and will--run the gamut of flavor and challenge everything you know about espresso. Because of its varying blend depending on what is available, this espresso is not available in our online store. To order, please contact us.- Forest Mist Blend
Roast Level: Vienna :: Our signature roast
A blend of India Monsooned Malabar, Colombia Huila “Monserrate,” and Ethiopia Sidamo. Our signature darker-roasted blend will hit you with a wonderful smokiness and richness not usually found in this level roast. An overarching sweetness throughout the cup will calm any of the heaviness associated with darker roasts.

When Lauri Cross, director of the Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary approached our Roast Master about creating a blend, he jumped at the chance. The resulting cup is sweet yet rich with a wonderful apple and cherry tone to the cup. A portion of all pounds sold will be donated to keep WBARS rolling.
